Discovered in France, this classic Willy Guhl handkerchief planter is cast with a very strong fibrous cement and is suitable for indoors or out. Resembling a handkerchief being held in your palm, this planter has a bowl centre for planting and a fabric like form making it a clever, attention grabbing vessel.
Measures 26" x 26" x 8"H and with cement finish and multiple holes for drainage at bottom. There is age to the finish, as well as mossing, and we see this natural forming patina as enhancing the beauty of this European garden art. There is one area that appears to be chipped, but the edges have worn smooth, so the break is likely very old and almost undetectable.
