Sourced in Northern Spain, in the Catalonia religion this vintage metal and seashell chandelier is crafted in iron with individually strung mussel shells and eight arms for tapered candles. The upper, middle and lower rings are suspended with chain and a "crown" ring sits on top of the piece once hung. The top of the chandelier has a sturdy hook for hanging. Each of the arms slips into the center ring. The seashells are primarily strung with fine wire, and there are several losses throughout. Spotted patination to the metal surface, which is painted an off-white ivory color. The shells are also painted the same hue. Please see all images for details.

Measures 4' diameter (including arms) and 6' long from top of crown to lowest hanging shells. Arms are removable and slip into the widest metal band. Each arm holds a single taper candle, or chandelier can be wired for bulbs.
