A delightful discovery from one of our favorite artists, this console table is equally at home either indoors or outdoors. The vintage iron base features some wonderful decoration as well as cabriole-style legs in the front and straight-legs with ball-feet at the back. The "live edge" of the cast-stone coral top provides interest and contrast. The top was made by creating a mold from fossilized coral, which was then used to cast a stone top. Hand-finished with a charcoal-gray wash, bringing all the detail of the texture in the coral to life.
Console measures 52" W x 18" D x 34" H. Two pieces. The top measures about two inches thick, so this is a very sturdy stone piece. Please see images for full details. Top does have some light surface wear. It was cast in the 1980s, and has traveled a few times to make it to our gallery. Overall good condition. The base is much older (exact age unknown) and does show signs of age in the finish and does have some surface wear as well as a few areas of discoloration from minimal rust.
