Antique Black Forest Roe Deer trophy with real roe antlers, mounted on an original Johann Flück carved plaque featuring the likeness of the Alpine Roe Deer, along with carvings of a capercaillie (European Black Grouse) and a fox, along with other Classic Black Forest themes of oak leaves and acorns, 19th century. This piece is beautifully detailed and a wonderful example of master-carvings from the Black Forest movement. On the plaque's back is the sticker and signature of Johann Flück, famous wood carver from Brienz, Switzerland from the 1880s-1890s.
