From the moment we crossed the threshold of this little shop and atelier in Berlin, we were immediately transported into a visual fantasy so whimsical and artful. Kuhn Keramik is the whimsical ceramic studio by Bernard Kuhn in Berlin, Germany. Established in the 1990's, Kuhn Keramic is famous for their porcelain-ware that ranges from highly functional tableware to conceptual pieces, like oversized tea pots and gold-plated bird cages. The Lewis Carroll inspired design is at once subversive and charming-- the Berlin spirit of Kuhn Keramik.

This cheeky piece is a flat, ovular plate, glazed in white with a ship illustration on top. The piece measures approximately 9 inches by 7.5 inches and is just under half an inch deep.
