This antique Habsburg Red Stag trophy is mounted on a hand carved Black Forest plaque with Classic Black Forest themes of pine cones, pine branches, and scroll work with gilt accents. The full-CAP is decorated with an original Bavarian offiicer's wappen from the officer's "pickelhaube" or helmet. Hanging around the skull is a Prussian Cuirassier gorget showing the Frederick The Great eagle with a date of 1745.
The plaque measures 28"H x 15"W. The overall measurements are 45"H x 39"W x 19"D. The spread is 39".
