This is an antique unframed oil painting, featuring a religious scene which incorporates the Holy Spirit (the dove), Joseph, Mary and a young Christ. We know it's Saint Joseph because he holds lilies in his hand, which represent his pure and celibate marriage to the Virgin Mary. Mary and Joseph hold Christ's hand as the Holy Sprit watch over them. Sourced in France, this wonderful artwork measures 25.5"W x 32"H.

There are some defects to this piece, the canvas has suffered some damage and has been repaired (see images for more details). The date 1640 does appear on the piece, but we cannot authenticate this date.
