This antique French carved oak hunt buffet features carvings on three sides, decorated with images of animals, grotesques and intricate patterns. Two drawers along with ample interior storage allow for plenty of space to stow your items. There are keyed locks on this piece, but no keys. However, the doors and drawers open easily by using the carved handles on each. One door features fish and flora while the other features a rabbit and a bird carved into the panels. The drawers each have "faces" carved into handles along with scrollwork, berries and flowers. The sides also feature scroll work on each panel, joined by grotesques at each edge above more carved flowers. The feet are stout and rounded and sit below trim that has been carved into geometric patterns that match the top edge of this piece. There are two interior shelves; one narrow shelf at the top and one deeper shelf at center. The doors open nice and wide, allowing light to flow in and easy access to the interior.

Measures 52"W x 21"D x 39"H. This piece has been stripped of its original finish and has not been sealed or treated in any way, allowing you to customize the piece with a new stain or simply wax to protect it from wear, while allowing the details of the raw wood to show. Surface wear and discoloration are present as well as evidence of Expansion in the seams on the top of this buffet. Wormwood holes are also present, particularly on the feet and lower portion of the piece. See all images for full details.
