This antique French painting of a tropical island scene was likely done in French Polynesia and has been signed by the artist (lower right) and is framed in a deep-set gilt and black wood frame. There are palm trees and clouds in the distance with three structures at mid-ground and one at foreground with several figures depicted, including a singular figure in a small boat heading to shore. You can almost smell the breeze moving through the palm trees and hear the sounds of island life around you. Source in France. Age of painting is unknown, but we believe early 20th century.
