A wonderful antique tortoise shell box crafted with inlaid silver on the top, featuring a stunning star medallion and a detailed border, sourced in Italy. The craftsmanship of this piece is truly admirable. We love the details as well as imagining what a piece like this may have been used for over the years... perhaps to hold powders or trinkets. The translucence of the shell can be observed in the attached images.

Measures 3.25" diameter and 1.2"H. Some surface wear, but the piece is in overall excellent condition. In the images, there is a section that looks damaged on the outer edge, but that is the natural texture from the tortoise shell material and not damage.
