This is an antique French plaster relief featuring an outdoor garden scene with three figures in the foreground of a beautifully rendered landscape. One figure, a woman, stands next to a woman sitting on a tree, while a young boy sits off to the left and reads. You can almost imagine this scene taking place in a garden on a beautiful estate in the French countryside. There is a signature or marking that reads "C. A. Ferigoule" for which we were able to locate other artwork, most of which were etchings that dated to the 1890s through the early 20th century. There are losses to this piece and surface wear throughout. The "frame" edge has some losses as well as debris. Please see all images for details.
Measures: 24" W x 29.25" H x 3" D (the edge is approximately 1" D but the relief itself has a max depth of 3"). There are no hangers on this piece, we have chosen to display it on an easel.
Shipping note: Because this is a fragile plaster piece, we can only ship this piece double-boxed. The shipping cost includes the fee for professional packing with plenty of cushion to ensure this piece arrives safely.
