This antique French game table and console has a wonderful faux-painted finish. The top is finished in a faux stone with tones of gray, charcoal, greige and black. The table unfolds to reveal a black embossed leather top inside, perfect for the card game of your choosing. The legs and base are painted in a contrasting creamy ivory finish. When converted from console to game table, the legs slide back on rails to support the table top, and those rails are visible on the sides (see images). Under the top, there is storage accessible for cards, poker chips, etc. The edge of the leather is embossed with a greek key pattern that is flush with the surround and its edge mimics the curves of the table edge, which also has a channel carved along the entire perimeter of the top. The front apron has additional carved details, while the back apron is flat.

Console measures 33.25"W x 16.5"D x 29"H. When opened, the game table measures 33.25" square and 28.5"H. Please see all images for full details. There are some small losses that appear to have been present prior to the painted finish which are only visible up close. The leather also has some light surface wear present.
