This generously sized antique French carved wood armchair features faded green velvet upholstery and various turned details the arms, legs and back. The arms gently curve down and forward, ending in a scrolled detail. The x-style base is beautifully curved and the legs and back feature detailed turned decoration. While the upholstery is faded, it remains in good condition, with binding at the edges along with silver-toned nailheads. The finish of the wood is dark, with some light surface wear on the areas where contact would be most frequent.
