This heavyweight champagne bucket was found in France and features a monogram at center. Stamped "WMF" and "NS " on the bottom, indicating the maker is German company, WÜRTTEMBERGISCHE METALLWARENFABRIK, and the piece is nickel silver. This is a very simple rendition of a traditional champagne or ice bucket typical of hotels and restaurants, made to withstand years of usage. We'd love to know the celebrations for which this piece has held a bottle of bubbly. Ring handles on both sides with a ribbed detail at the top and near the bottom of the piece.
Measures 9.25"W (handle to handle) x 7.2"D x 8"H. Surface wear and patination are present as well as discoloration. The deep patination on the silver can likely be polished, but we've elected to leave this one as-is.
