This mid-century French impressionist painting is titled "Carnac, Bretagne" and shows a beautiful scene featuring the mysterious Carnac Stones, located in Carnac, Brittany (Bretagne). The Carnac stones are an exceptionally dense collection of megalithic sites near the south coast of Brittany in northwestern France. The tones of the painting are primarily yellows, greens, oranges and deeper tones of gray, red and blue. The painting is mounted in a simple gilt frame and signed by the artist on the lower right hand corner. The back shows the artists name again as well as the title.
Measures 25"W x 21"H x 1"D. Some light surface wear is present on the frame as well as some debris and dust. We did do a light cleaning of the frame to remove some of the dust.
