This is an antique French impressionist painting in a gilt frame. The scene appears coastal, with a sailboat and two figures in the foreground and a cliffside and tower in the distance. The colors are wonderful, with blues, golds, reds and greens. The painting is on stretched canvas and is signed, although making out the signature is difficult, but the first name appears to be "René."
Framed piece measures 27"W x 23"H x 2"D. The gilt frame is patinated and does show signs of debris as well as some minor losses. The canvas also has some minor losses, and from the back, there may be places of repair to the canvas, but we are not able to tell when those may have been done. Hardware to hang the piece is a simple French hook. -
