This is a mid-century, handmade wood and plaster altar crucifix found in Belgium. The cross itself is very simple and minimalistic, and the plaster corpus hangs from a small hook on the back. The INRI sign above is also plaster and the letters are painted in a bright red. There are some cracks and chips in the corpus, but the piece is in good condition. The arc-shaped markings on the cross near each hand and at the feet are from the movement of the corpus, as it is not stationary. Please see all images for full details.
