This is a beautifully carved antique Portuguese mirror with a beautifully decorated frame and hand-beveled glass which follows the shape of the frame. The carving at the top is a graceful bird with a bent neck atop a shell cartouche. The shell shapes and scrollwork repeat throughout the frame, in an asymmetrical design that is unique and well executed.

Measures 28" W x 44.5" H x 4" D (at top where carving is deepest). Chain hanger mounted on back allows the mirror to hang at a slight angle. Very light surface wear present on carvings, mirror does have spotting and age present.
