19th Century Roe Deer Trophy from Kaiser Wilhelm I of Germany on Stand

Each of these 19th century roe deer trophies is mounted on an ornate carved wood stand with the royal cypher of Kaiser Wilhelm I of Germany on the skull. These pieces are part of a larger grouping of trophies attributed to Kaiser Wilhelm I. The cap and stem which attach the skull to the base is crafted in bronze. The carved wood base has a light wash of gilt applied, giving it a slight sheen.

This trophy measures approximately 20.25" H x 9" D x 6.5" W. The base is 6.5" x 6.5" square. This is the last available piece from the grouping of four we have available.

Part of The European Hunt collection presented by Laurier Blanc, this collection of antique hunting trophies from Royal & Noble European families has been examined and appraised by James Supp of Coronado Trading Co., who is best known for his work with the PBS production "Antiques Roadshow." All pieces in this collection have been examined and appraised and come with a Certificate of Authenticity.
