During our recent travels to Italy, we were delighted to spend a morning perusing an antiques market within the charming Piazza Santo Spirito in Florence's historic Oltrarno neighborhood. Many have studied art and architecture in this iconic
Tuscan Renaissance city and we just adored this collection of vintage architectural drawings and paintings we discovered there. Many have been signed and dated by the artists and each has been floated in new gilt frames or within distressed antique frames found in France. Each work of art is considered one of a kind.
This particular painting features the architectural features of the Palazzo Farnese in Rome. Framed under glass in a wonderful, antique gilt French frame. This piece is signed and is composed of ink & water color on paper.
Frame measures approximately 15.5"W x 19.75"H x 1.5"D. Antique gilt frame with new glass and backing. Wire hanger. Frame has some losses, as shown in the images, but the glass and backing are new.
