These vintage stoneware containers date back to the 1800s and were used to package all manner of products through the 1920s. These containers were used for Dundee Marmalade. The transfer labels were applied to the containers before glazing and firing, to prevent fading and wear-- which is why they appear to have held up so well.
We think these could be used as simple decorative objects or as small vases, a pencil holder, or however you'd like to display them!
