  • "Kaiser and King" Fallow Deer Trophy of Emperor Franz Joseph with Vatican Medal

  • An extraordinary piece attributed to Emperor Franz Joseph himself, this 19th century Fallow Trophy hung in Eckartsau Castle, a favorite Habsburg hunting schloss in the Southern Austrian Alps.

    Mounted on an original Black Forest plaque and features the original writing of "K u K", which is the abbreviated form of the German phrase kaiserlich und königlich, meaning "Kaiser and King" representing the dual monarchy of the Austro-Hungarian Empire (where Emperor Franz Joseph was Emperor of Austria and King of Hungary).

    Also mounted on the plaque is an original medal from the Imperial Guard.
