These bracelets have a truly unique story. Handmade of recycled PVC by the women of the Himba Tribe in North-Western Namibia, each bracelet is a replica of the original ivory bracelets worn for decoration during tribal ceremonies. Thanks to conservation efforts the bracelets are no longer made of ivory, but instead are made of recycled plastic. It’s a win-win for all--the elephants, the environment, and the women who support themselves through making them. Wear them stacked or individually to add "style with a story" to any outfit. Easy, effortless, and waterproof, which make them a wonderful beachside accessory or an interesting hostess gift.
Each cuff measures 2cm wide and will vary from piece to piece. Flexible, lightweight and adjustable, these will be comfortable for most wrists. See images for examples of the styles. Pieces will be selected at random, as quantities are very limited.
