19th century fallow deer trophy from Emperor Franz Joseph's castle at Eckartsau in the Southern Austrian Alps, a favourite hunting schloss of the Habsburg Royal family. This historic hunting trophy features the original Black Forest carved plaque and original writing that includes a partial date of 1873.
Part of The European Hunt collection presented by Laurier Blanc, this collection of antique hunting trophies from Royal & Noble European families has been examined and appraised by James Supp of Coronado Trading Co, who is best known for his work with the PBS production "Antiques Road show." Certificate of Authenticity included.
