This 19th century game table is a wonderful piece of furniture with beautiful details. The black painted finish is accented by gilt striping and brass details at the feet, and works well as a small console table when closed. Once you open the piece up, the table top inside features a red leather inset with gold gilt detailing. Under the table top, you have storage for all manner of playing cards, dice, poker chips, etc. To open the piece up, you simply unfold the top and swivel into place. The cabriole legs and curved aprons which echo the edge of the table top all combine to create a very elegant piece. We uncovered this treasure in France and we believe it dates to the 1880s.
