  • 19th century fallow deer trophy from Emperor Franz Joseph's castle at Eckartsau in the Southern Austrian Alps, a favorite hunting schloss of the Habsburg Royal family.  This historic hunting trophy features the original crown wappen and is mounted on a replacement hand-carved Rococo style plaque painted by Italian artisans in polychrome and gilding.  One of two available and the antlers are bleached given that these hung in the courtyard of Eckartsau castle so was thus exposed to the elements.  Please contact us for preferred pricing on the pairing.
