19th Century Habsburg Gilt Hunt Trophy with Original Hunt Horn
A truly beautiful piece (where two are available) this 19th century fallow deer trophy originated from Emperor Franz Josef's castle at Eckartsau in the Southern Austrian Alps, a favorite hunting schloss of the Habsburg Royal family.
This historic hunting trophy features a hand-carved plaque with Italian polychrome painting and the original hunt Horn used.
Part of The European Hunt collection presented by Laurier Blanc, this collection of antique hunting trophies from Royal & Noble European families has been examined and appraised by James Supp of Coronado Trading Co, who is best known for his work with the PBS production "Antiques Roadshow." "Certificate of Authenticity" included.
