19th century fallow deer from Emperor Franz Joseph's castle at Eckartsau in the Southern Austrian Alps, a favorite hunting schloss of the Habsburg Royal family. This historic hunting trophy features a replacement hand-carved linden wood plaque with an Italian polychrome gilding technique, and original Imperial Baden wappen from the officer's pickelhaube or helmets. Certificate of Authenticity included.
This piece measures 31 inches in total height, 33 inches wide (antler spread) and is 22 inches in depth.
