  • A truly beautiful piece, this 19th century fallow deer trophy originated from Emperor Franz Josef's castle at Eckartsau in the Southern Austrian Alps, a favorite hunting schloss of the Habsburg Royal family. This historic hunting trophy features the original Austro-Hungarian wappen of the double headed eagle emblem and the trophy is mounted on a hand carved replacement plaque.

    Plaque measures 19"H x 11"W. Total height is 26.5". Width is 33". Depth from wall to antler tip is 22.5".

    Part of The European Hunt collection presented by Laurier Blanc, this collection of antique hunting trophies from Royal & Noble European families has been examined and appraised by James Supp of Coronado Trading Co, who is best known for his work with the PBS production "Antiques Roadshow."
