19th Century African Springbok Trophy Attributed to Thomas von Prince

African Springbok trophy attributed to German officer Thomas von Prince and believed to have been taken during his time while stationed in German East Africa, which is modern day Tanzania.

Plaque measures 10 inches long and 8.75 inches wide.

The total length (including the horns) is 15 inches.

The horns have a spread of 8 inches and a depth of 7.25 inches.

Part of The European Hunt collection presented by Laurier Blanc, this collection of antique hunting trophies from Royal & Noble European families has been examined and appraised by James Supp of Coronado Trading Co., who is best known for his work with the PBS production "Antiques Roadshow."
