  • 19th c Habsburg Roe Deer Trophies on Black Forest Plaques from Eckartsau Castle

  • An extraordinary grouping attributed to the Habsburg Family, this 19th century Roe Trophy collection in Eckartsau Castle, a favorite hunting schloss of the Habsburg family, in the Southern Austrian Alps. Mounted a hand-carved Black Forest plaques, featuring the original painted ribbon with the name "Eckartsau" below each full cap trophy. Original military badges are mounted on the cap of each trophy. The decoration of each plaque and cap are the same.

    The plaques measure 9.5"H x 6.5"W each and the trophies range in height from 12" up to 15"H. Pricing is per trophy, and each piece is available for purchase separately, or as a grouping. If you'd like to specify which pieces you wish to purchase, please refer to the numbering on the individual photos. Measurements of each trophy are listed on their individual numbers, along with the item number beginning with ECKP.

    There are currently 6 pieces available. As the pieces sell, the individual photos will be removed for the sold trophies, so please reference those images. The description will be updated to reflect the number of available pieces. 

    Part of The European Hunt collection, this collection of antique hunting trophies has been examined and appraised by James Supp of Coronado Trading Co., who is best known for his work with the PBS production "Antiques Roadshow." All pieces in this collection have been examined and appraised and come with a Certificate of Authenticity document.
