  • A unique piece of history from The Royal Hunt Collection, this Roe trophy dates from the 19th century and came from Emperor Franz Josef's castle at Eckartsau in the Southern part of the Austrian Alps.

    Original Black Forest carved plaque with antique skull cap of Roe buck with initial details "E.B" and a date of 1909 (and the 25th, but month unknown).  Partial name is detailed as well.  Plaque itself measures approximately 6" by 6.5".

    Part of a much larger collection of hunting trophies belonging to Kaiser Wilhelm II of Germany and Emperor Franz Josef of Austria, this collection represents the largest known collection of Imperial European hunting trophies in private hands outside of Europe and has been examined and authenticated by noted appraiser James Supp.  More details can be found at www.royalhuntcollection.com
