  • 18th Century Magnificent Red Stag on Crowned Plaque

  • Historic "hirsch" (red deer stag). These magnificent antlers and skull with original writing are mounted to a late 18th century-early 19th century crowned wooden plaque from the Tyrol area of Austria, a historical region in the middle alpine area of Central Europe.

    Inscription reads: "E. St." Unknown who this piece is attributed to but believed to have been a member of Austrian Nobility.

    Plaque measures approximately 30" x 21" and the antlers measure 45" wide with 23" depth from wall to antler tip.

    Part of The European Hunt Collection, this collection of antique hunting trophies has been examined and appraised by James Supp of Coronado Trading Co., who is best known for his work with the PBS production "Antiques Roadshow".

    All pieces in this collection have been examined and appraised and come with a Certificate of Authenticity document.
