  • A 19th century Habsburg Fallow Deer trophy from Emperor Franz Joseph's castle at Eckartsau in the Southern Austrian Alps. a favorite hunting schloss of the Habsburg Royal family.  Mounted on an original exquisitely carved Black Forest hunt plaque including a set of Roe Deer antlers on the top of the carving. Original writing on the skull featuring a crown and 1892.

    The plaque itself is 30” tall and 19” wide and 7” deep. The overall height is 36” (with antlers) and overall width is 32”, with the depth at 20”.

    Part of The European Hunt Collection, this collection of antique hunting trophies has been examined and appraised by James Supp of Coronado Trading Co., who is best known for his work with the PBS production "Antiques Roadshow".  All pieces in this collection have been examined and appraised and come with a Certificate of Authenticity document.
