  • Early 19th Century Habsburg Roe Trophies on Hand Carved Black Forest Plaques

  • An extraordinary grouping of early 19th century Spanish Habsburg Roe trophies. Each trophy is mounted on an original, hand carved Black Forest plaque. Mounted on the cap of each trophy, just below the antlers is the wappen of Spanish Habsburg origin. The crest is recognizable as the Lesser or abbreviated coat of arms of the Spanish monarch, 1700–1868 / 1875–1931. Each plaque has hand carved details of oak leaves around the lower portion of the plaque.

    Each plaque measures approximately 8.5" H x 5.25" W. Trophies range from 11" to 16" in height and 4" to 7.5" in depth (from antler tips to wall). When selecting a trophy, the item numbers for each trophy are shown in one of the listing images, so please let us know which trophy or trophies you would like to purchase.

    Part of The European Hunt collection, this collection of antique hunting trophies has been examined and appraised by James Supp of Coronado Trading Co., who is best known for his work with the PBS production "Antiques Roadshow." All pieces in this collection have been examined and appraised and come with a “Certificate of Authenticity” document.
