  • 19th c. Austrian Rothschild Red Stag & Roe Deer Trophy

  • This extraordinary historic Red Stag from Bad Ischl, Austria is quite large making it a tremendous statement piece measuring 59 inches tall, 52 inches wide and 31 inches depth. Featured on the gilt plaque are four animals that surround the red stag all in gilt bronze: the Fox, Hound, Boar and Roe Deer at the top (with antique antler on the Roe Deer). The entire plaque is hand carved wood with all gold areas gilt bronze. Also included is the original brass hunt horn. Originating from the Kaiservilla in Bad Ischl, Austria, the summer palace of Emperor Franz Josef and seat of the Austro-Hungarian empire.  We are honored to have the matching piece to this installed in Tommy Hilfiger's Connecticut estate which was installed by noted interior designer Martyn Lawrence Bullard.

    Total height is 59"; Spread is 52"W; Depth from the wall to the tips of the antlers is 31". 

    Part of The European Hunt collection presented by Laurier Blanc, this collection of antique hunting trophies has been examined and appraised by James Supp of Coronado Trading Co., who is best known for his work with the PBS production "Antiques Roadshow." All pieces in this collection have been examined and appraised and come with a Certificate of Authenticity document.
