This antique French Louis XIII style wood gate-leg table features drop leaves on both sides, barley twist leg details and a center drawer for storage, circa 1840. There are additional decorative finials that drop from below the center portion of the table, and this piece can be used as a console table when closed. Just one drawer with a bail pull in iron. The top of the table is ovular when opened. The surface of the top is worn in places and slightly lighter than the legs and base.
The table measures 48" W x 59" L x 29.25" H when opened. When the leaves are down, the piece is 20" W. There is some gapping at the seams of the top here and there as well as the losses to the finish and wear from the age and use of the piece. See all images for details.
