This multifunctional banquette bench was crafted by deconstructing a 19th century French Oak commode. The body of this piece dates to the 1880s, with two drawers and a newly added flat wood top. The original finish has been stripped and a cushion has been added to the top to create a comfortable and chic seating space that offers storage. This piece would work nicely in an entryway, mudroom, or at the end of the bed. The cushion is cotton in a sage green and cream stripe and features handmade antique lace appliqué. The front of the drawers feature some Fine decoration and iron bail pulls.
Piece measures 24.25"D x 61"W x 21"H (with cushion). The top of this piece measures 23.5"D x 59.5"W and is 16" high without the cushion. Light surface wear to wood present. See images.
