During our recent time sailing in the French West Indies, we became fascinated with the old rum production with export to France and the rest of Europe. While learning about this history, we came across a collection of antique labels that we thought would be spectacular as art beautifully displayed in new and antique framing.
This label features an off-white background with red and black text and reads "Rhum Martinique" above a Caribbean coastal scene, including an anchor seal. During this period, the production of rum was mostly done by families and estates, rather than by a specific brand or distillery.
This frame is a glossy black with burnished gold accents and a beaded interior edge. Frame measures 53”W x 63”H x 1.5”D. D-Rings are installed to the back for secure hanging.
