This coffer chest with stand dates to 1795 and is crafted in wood and iron. The weathered wood speaks to its history and the stand features beautifully turned details as well as a decorative finial. The chest and stand are separate pieces, with the chest fitting perfectly on top of the stand. The chest also has decorative moulding on the face along with an iron escutcheon at center. No key was available and is not included. The top has a slight buckle so there is some gaping between the lid and the body of the chest. The iron hinges open completely, there is no stop or locking mechanism. This piece could be used as a charming side table and the top measures 29" W x 19" D, allowing room for a lamp whist providing storage as well.

Entire piece measures 32.5" W x 20" D x 33" H. Chest alone measures 29" W x 19" D x 10" H. Surface wear and weathering with discoloration present on wood and iron. Rust present. See images for more details.
