This large Belgian cabinet dates to the late 18th century and features wonderful carvings at the bottom along with decorative details on the drawers and doors. The brass escutcheons on each door are designed in the shape of birds, and the door fronts feature unique carvings and a decorative pattern at center that has an embossed look. The drawer fronts have diamond carved details and brass accents, while the center drawer has a brass diamond-shaped escutcheon mirroring the outer drawer design. The scrollwork and gently curved legs of the base are beautiful additions that work to soften the more geometric designs on the body.
The right-hand door has a working lock and key which keeps the door securely shut, while the left door can be opened via an interior hook accessed once the right-hand door is open. Inside the piece are two generous areas for storage, divided by a single shelf. The images show it packed with our stock of ceramic pieces and as you can see, there is plenty of space for storage.
Dimensions: 64"W x 21"D x 55"H. Interior width 60"; Interior depth 17"; Top shelf clearance 19"H; bottom shelf clearance 15"H.
