This rectangular shaped mirror was crafted in the early 19th century, circa 1820. The style of decoration allows it to be hung horizontally or vertically, with asymmetrical accents on the gilt frame. The decorations are floral in style with a ribbed frame and rich red undertones in portions of the gilt. The mirror is original and has the crystalline effect that makes the glass glittery at certain angles. The back is enclosed. This piece is also large enough to lean on a wall as a full-length mirror.
Measures: 43.5" W x 62.5" H, 3" D. Surface wear to the mirror and frame are present, although minimal. Minor losses to the gilt and plaster. One area on the mirror where hairline scratches have accumulated (approx 3" x 1.5" area) See all images for full details.
