This silver-plate and crystal lemonade or pimms jug was found in France. There are no marks on the pice which indicate where it was made, but the style is similar to some German pieces we have seen, though it was sourced in France. Perfect for serving lemonade, the lid opens to reveal a glass ice insert with a silver top which unscrews to allow crushed ice to be placed within to keep your beverage chilled. The jug itself has a plain, round mount with a hand-cut, pear-shaped crystal body on a flat, star-cut base. We believe it dates to the 1940s or early 1950s at latest based on the shape. Measures 10"H x 6.5"Dia x 9"W. Glass insert has a twist-lock top. Spout screen is removable for easy cleaning. Surface wear is present as well as some losses to the plate on the handle and edge of the top. No major cracks or chips present in the crystal.
