Truly a very special one of a kind piece, this large plaster piece features a very ornate plaque with exquisite fruit and "OOST" detailed. Mounted on a tabletop acrylic stand.
Recently discovered in Bruges, Belgium and is the considered the original "master" for molds where pieces were made for churches and estates across Europe. The factory was forced to close during WWII's Nazi occupation and this is part of a collection of these plaster masters that were later discovered in the attic of the building. (This is where the term "masterpiece" originated).
Wear and cracks are in this piece due to the significant age of the piece but we do feel that it adds the character of this historic piece. Crafted of plaster, wood and burlap and some pieces include the metal rod for the mold. handcrafted acrylic stand.
